Responsibilities

Architecting radar system hardware and software
Defining functional and physical requirements
Leading trade studies to optimize system performance
Executing analytical and experimental design trades
Developing and running simulations
Supporting system verification efforts through lab, chamber, ground, and flight testing
Leading system integration and troubleshooting activities
Identifying root causes of technical issues and developing mitigation strategies
Developing technical performance metrics
Presenting findings in internal and external meetings
Contributing to proposal efforts by shaping technical solutions and engaging with customers
Mentoring and motivating systems engineers
Supporting program management activities such as risk assessments and schedule management
Representing programs as the primary technical interface to customers
Ensuring compliance with security and quality standards

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with 10 years, or equivalent experience of 16 years in lieu of a degree
An active secret security clearance is required
Demonstrated expertise in radar system development, integration, and testing
Experience in lifecycle system design from conceptualization through production
Proficiency in tools such as MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, or C/C++/C#
Strong leadership skills
Experience in proposal capture activities
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams

Preferred

Hands-on experience with complex radar and weapon system integration
Experience with aerospace systems
Experience with payload development
Experience with security clearances beyond secret level
