Public Utilities Regulatory Analyst I (JC-507387) - Public Advocates Office/ Energy Cost of Service & Natural Gas/ Natural Gas
The California Public Utilities Commission is seeking a Public Utilities Regulatory Analyst I to represent ratepayer interests on issues related to revenue requirements and rates for gas and electric utilities. The role involves conducting research, analyzing utility advice letters, writing reports, and participating in CPUC proceedings.

Responsibilities
Representing ratepayer interests on issues pertaining to the appropriate revenue requirement and rates associated with CPUC-regulated gas and electric utilities in General Rate Cases and other rate setting cases
Conduct research, review and analyze utilities advice letters, write reports, testify in CPUC proceedings, coordinate with project teams, and advise management on related matters
Maintain organized electronic and hard copy files and ensure appropriate treatment of confidential files
Qualification
Required
Experience in analyzing financial data, designing financial research, collecting data, conducting econometric analysis, and making practical recommendations
Experience defending analysis and recommendations after writing and presenting a report that includes findings
Experience establishing and maintaining cooperative and positive working relationships with others
Must submit a copy of your transcript or diploma if using education to meet the minimum qualifications
Official transcript will be required prior to appointment
Verification of United States course/degree equivalency must be obtained and submitted by applicants with foreign degrees/transcripts
Employment information on the STD 678 state application must be complete with dates, duties and responsibilities, and contact names and phone numbers of supervisors
Resumes, or referring to resumes, will not be accepted in place of the completed STD 678
Completed applications and all required documents must be received or postmarked by the Final Filing Date
