Intern, Characterization - Summer 2026
Murata is a company driving semiconductor integration, enhancing capabilities with high-performance semiconductors. The candidate will support the validation and characterization of RFICs in UltraCMOS technology for commercial and industrial applications.

Responsibilities
Product characterization: define, measure, analyze and document product performance data
Possible production ATE support: work with test engineers to define, develop and ramp production ATE solutions
Qualification
Required
Hands on experience of RF measurement equipment to validate performance of CMOS RF ICs, such as NF, phase noise, IP3, IP2, matching using smith charts, time domain measurements etc
Solid understanding of basic Digital, Analog and RF circuit theory
Knowledgeable on Generic Building Blocks of Wireless System and RF IC Transceiver will be big plus
Proficiency with general lab equipment such as: DC power supplies, o-scopes, multi-meters, VNA, Signal Generator, Functional Generator, Spectrum Analyzers etc
Good software or scripting like Python, MATLAB programming skills
Current student in an accredited Bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineer, Computer Engineering or equivalent, preferably with completing 3+ year; or MSEE candidate
Preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strength in documentation clarity and completeness
Team player with a strong sense of urgency to meet product requirements on schedule
Willingness to go beyond what's required
