Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and manage projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with DHHS objectives
Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders
Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and documentation
Monitor progress against milestones; provide regular status updates and reports to leadership
Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies; maintain RAID logs and escalate as needed
Facilitate meetings with internal teams and external partners; prepare agendas, capture decisions, and track action items
Oversee project budgets and assist with procurement and invoice tracking
Prepare dashboards and reports using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Clarity, or MS Project
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Foster collaboration across divisions and maintain a positive, inclusive team culture
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, public administration, business information systems, or a field related to the functions of the hiring agency
Two years of experience as a project manager with the responsibility to oversee the coordination, planning, initiation, and completion of major/long-term projects
Four years of experience and certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
Five years of experience working on medium-to-large projects
Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
Preferred
3+ years of experience managing projects, preferably in a government, healthcare, or human services environment
Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent certification
Experience with grant-funded or cross-agency initiatives
Familiarity with budgeting, procurement, and vendor management
