Responsibilities
Performs highly advanced and complex specialist duties
Accountable for the execution and follow through of complex and technical responsibilities
Plans, develops, implements, coordinates and monitors programs or services
Responds to information requests
Collects, reconciles, and maintains complex data
Coordinates and implements departmental processes
May conduct investigations
Monitors budgets, accounts, and expenditures
Monitors project timelines and identifies issues
Prepares reports
Plans and coordinates events
Develops, coordinates, and implements assigned processes
Oversees website
Provides assistance with and interprets policies and procedures
Prepares, reviews, revises and distributes documents and correspondence
Coordinates and supervises program activities
Conducts research for preparation and dissemination of information
Coordinates, compiles, and evaluates data received from a variety of sources relating to the effectiveness of the assigned activity, program, or project
Designs and prepares reports and publications for distribution within the department, college, or division
Recommends to the supervisor internal policies and procedures, clerical functions, and work-flow to ensure effective and efficient operation
Directs assignments of clerical staff and determines work priorities and evaluates progress and deadlines
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
Three years relevant specialist experience or experience in a related field
Must be a current Sam Houston State University employee in order to be considered for this position
Preferred
Certifications may be required
Experience in Higher Education and specialized work is desirable
