Journeyman Systems Security Engineer (Security Engineering, Analyst)
The MIL Corporation seeks a Journeyman Systems Security Engineer (Security Engineering, Analyst) to support a federal government client at NAS Patuxent River in Patuxent River, MD. This role involves participating in the identification of weapon system critical program information, conducting critical analysis on proposed architectures, and supporting program risk management and mitigation.

Responsibilities
Participate in identification of weapon system critical program information (CPI), and determination of consequence of compromise
Conduct critical analysis and modeling on proposed architectures
Document protective architectures
Develop and advocate contractual requirements in support of developmental programs
Facilitate evaluation of weapons system architectures for compliance to protection standards
Coordinate with program, service, Joint and Department of Defense agencies to ensure system horizontal protection requirements are met
Assist the Navy Verification & Validation (V&V) team with assessment of system designs and solutions
Support program risk management, mitigation and reporting
Communicate across the technical teams to share information, address issues, and accelerate pace of new development
Serve as a Technical Review Board (TRB) member for systems technical events providing SSE expertise
Qualification
Required
Top Secret clearance required
BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related scientific or technical discipline
US Citizenship required
At least three (3) years of recent and relevant experience in systems engineering including Systems Security Engineering and associated role
Must have programmatic or technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems and as well as guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems
Required experience with application of systems engineering methods and tools in the development of weapon systems
Knowledge and direct experience in systems engineering, SSE and cyber security related to weapon systems and platforms
Knowledge and understanding of systems engineering processes and applications
Knowledge and experience in DoD systems acquisition life cycle
Preferred
Knowledge of model-based systems engineering & digital engineering transformations
Recent and direct experience in AT systems engineering is highly desired
Recent and direct experience with DoD acquisitions is highly desired
Master's degree in related scientific or technical discipline
