They are seeking an Engineer in Training (EIT) to support their Mechanical and Plumbing engineering team on complex construction projects, providing hands-on experience in system design and project execution.

Responsibilities
Support mid-level and senior engineers with system sizing, load calculations, equipment selection, specifications, and engineering plan production in compliance with company standards
Assist the Professional Engineer with system calculations and design efforts
Prepare drawings and project details under the direction of a Professional Engineer
Create project-specific budgets, including labor and material cost estimates
Perform material take-offs and assist with estimating
Analyze subcontractor proposals and assist with subcontract preparation under Project Manager supervision
Route and obtain approvals for subcontractor and material invoices
Coordinate and review Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and high-risk activities with the Safety Director and construction teams
Create, track, and manage RFI, Submittal, and Change Order logs
Maintain master drawing sets, logs, and project documentation
Monitor and log third-party testing, site access, and logistics plans
Assist with material deliveries and field coordination
Identify field issues and propose practical, cost-effective alternatives
Analyze problems and develop realistic, timely solutions while considering risk and cost impacts
Maintain accurate project records in document control and site management systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar area of study
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Working knowledge or experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and/or Autodesk Build / Procore
Preferred
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification strongly preferred
