InternThe University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for a candidate to fill a time limited internship as an Assistant Learning Specialist. This internship is intended to provide a practical, hands-on experience within the area of learning services support for student-athletes, while pursuing a graduate degree at the University of Florida.

Responsibilities
Working with student-athletes that have learning disabilities and ADHD
Orienting new student-athletes to the Disability Resources Center’s programs
Assisting in screening evaluations and referrals for assessment of learning disabilities
Offering learning strategies
Referring students to appropriate campus resources
Assists in providing professional level support and programs to student-athletes in accordance with the regulations of UF, UAA, SEC, NCAA, Americans with Disabilities Act, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Sports Management, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
strong administrative, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
be organized, detail-oriented, and flexible
work independently and as part of a collaborative team
multitask effectively
maintain a high level of confidentiality and high standard of integrity and professionalism
engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
work a non-standard work week which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred
Experience in college athletics as a student-athlete or working in an intercollegiate athletic academic office
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), Canvas, and TeamWorks
