Program Coordinator - SEL

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee is focused on youth engagement through social emotional learning. The Program Coordinator will plan, implement, and evaluate SEL curriculum while collaborating with various departments to support youth needs and mental health referrals.

Responsibilities

Design, implement and evaluate Social Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons and activities to achieve specific goals and outcome measurements across the agency
Coordinate and support student SEL initiatives, including community circles, peer mentoring, and wellness-focused events
Collect participant feedback and analyze data to evaluate training effectiveness and inform future programming needs
Assist with budgeting, ordering, and distributing SEL materials and resources
Meet weekly with Club staff to provide updates, discuss student progress, and recommend academic programming adjustments
Travel between multiple sites to ensure consistent implementation and quality of SEL activities
Recruit youth participants for SEL programming and events
Contribute to the development and planning of SEL programming
Participate and assist with training and development for club staff and volunteers
Attends required meetings and trainings by Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, Milwaukee Public Schools, and/or funders
Assists with other SEL Coordinator duties as assigned

Required

High diploma required
At least 1 year of experience in program implementation
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms, such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams
Experience working with youth ages 4-18 years old
Experience working with a diverse populations representative of our Club membership
Strong interpersonal relationship-building skills
Program development and small group implementation, both in-person and virtually
Highly organized with attention to detail
Good communication skills, both oral and written, in English
Must have a valid WI driver's license, good driving record, and meet state required automobile insurance minimums

Preferred

Some college preferred in Education, Leadership, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
Spanish is a plus
