Responsibilities
Act as the day-to-day financial point of contact for Kansas City leadership
Build strong working relationships with project managers, operational management, and corporate resources to understand the drivers of financial performance
Provide clear recommendations that support margin expansion, cost control, and predictable project outcomes
Prepare and manage monthly sales forecasts
Manage preparation for monthly strategic check-ins
Support the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
Analyze monthly results and explain variances with a focus on root-cause drivers
Track overhead spend and evaluate it against plan
Support resource planning decisions through data-driven analysis
Deliver concise, decision-oriented reporting packages, presenting findings to local and corporate leadership with confidence and clarity
Collaborate with corporate finance to ensure alignment with enterprise reporting standards
Strengthen financial rigor within the operation by improving reporting workflows and data reliability
Support adoption of corporate tools and forecasting methodologies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline
2–5 years of experience in project finance, FP&A, construction/manufacturing finance, or public accounting
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other financial and business analytics tools
Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with non-financial partners
Naturally proactive with a strong ownership mentality
Preferred
Exposure to SAP and/or SAP Analytics Cloud strongly preferred
