Responsibilities

Manages eligibility for ADA Paratransit and mobility services programs. Ensures compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations related to eligibility. Tracks data related to eligibility to ensure compliance
Oversees the day-to-day elements of TREP, Ride programs and Travel Training. Monitors the progress and measures performance of these internal mobility service programs
Completes monthly audits of TREP program participants and follows up with customers to ensure compliance with program guidelines
Provides support to the Community Mobility Specialists by answering client calls and by completing paratransit application review and in-person client assessments, as needed
Gathers and compiles statistical data and information regarding internal and external programs and evaluates the information to determine efficiency and effectiveness of the programs
Develops and distributes and/or modifies a variety of travel training procedures, methods, materials, and forms to facilitate efficiency
Trains, supervises, and evaluates the performance of the Community Mobility Specialists
Coordinates and schedules individual and/or group travel trainings and ADA eligibility assessments
Plans and participates in community outreach events and provides information on current transportation and mobility options through public speaking
Coordinates and executes quarterly travel training and ADA eligibility quality assurance assessments and monitors the daily progress of the Community Mobility Specialists
Establishes and maintains thorough procedures for investigations of, and responses to ADA eligibility complaints and enforcement of federally required ADA eligibility compliance requirements. Works with the Mobility Services Manager to develop and implement any corrective actions
Establishes and maintains accurate files and record keeping systems to track and monitor program activities and operations
Provides reports necessary for compliance with grant requirements and conditions. Offers technical assistance and support to current and potential grant applicants
Supports the Mobility Services Manager coordinate with the Regional Mobility Partners and participates in annual sub-recipient site visits and monitoring
Performs special projects at request of the Mobility Services Manager
Directly supervises the Community Mobility Specialists. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training/developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Required

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university and four (4) or more years of increasingly responsible professional experience in paratransit operations, paratransit eligibility, case management, or travel training
Experience in working with individuals with disabilities and senior citizens
Must be familiar with current business office operating systems, software, and programs (i.e. Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
Must possess a valid California Driver's license
