Administrative Assistant
City of Boston is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Director of the Executive Support Unit and assist with various unit and division programs. The role involves providing clerical support, overseeing assignments, preparing reports, and serving as a liaison to other units and the public.

Responsibilities
Provides clerical support to the Commissioner and other senior managers
Oversees and tracks assignments and directives of the Director and other senior managers to ensure timely and accurate completion
Prepares reports and correspondence, manages files and computerized information sources
Responds to taxpayers and other inquiries, provides information to the public and staff, and serves as liaison to other units, divisions, and entities
Makes recommendations, trains and supervises staff, and carries out special projects as required
Performs related work as required
Qualification
Required
At least three (3) years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience in office or business management or administration required
Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job
Preferred
Knowledge of assessing laws, regulations, procedures, programs, and policies preferred
Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills preferred, with strong project management skills
Strong skills in spreadsheet and database software are preferred
Good oral and written communication skills are preferred
Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and negotiation skills preferred
Ability to solve problems, act creatively, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines is preferred
