Engineering Assistant I/II/III
Central Contra Costa Sanitary District is seeking an Engineering Assistant to join their Capital Projects Division. The role involves performing routine and journey-level computer-aided drafting related to various engineering plans, including civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering.

Responsibilities
Drafting and revising civil, structural, mechanical, process, and electrical engineering drawings in support of the treatment plant, recycled water, and collection system projects
Compiling and revising records and as-built drawings
Preparing and drafting: easement plats; survey, boundary, and topographical maps; and project plans from field and survey notes, legal descriptions of property, and other sources
Filing, maintaining, and retrieving a variety of engineering drawings, maps, documents, and records
Creating, updating, and maintaining CAD standards
Qualification
Required
Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade
One (1) year of full-time experience in engineering support, drafting, inspection, planning or GIS work for Engineering Assistant I
Two (2) years of full-time experience in engineering support, drafting, inspection, planning or GIS work including eighteen months of experience equivalent to that of an Engineering Assistant I at the District for Engineering Assistant II
Three (3) years of full-time experience in engineering support, drafting, inspection, planning or GIS work including twelve months of experience equivalent to that of an Engineering Assistant II at the District for Engineering Assistant III
Completion of 12 units of coursework from an accredited college or university in either engineering, environmental science, water/wastewater or a related field may substitute for one year of the required experience
Preferred
Experience with 3-D AutoCAD and BIM modeling
Experience with 3-D visual tools and software
