They are seeking a Cancer Screening Coordinator who will gather information, schedule screenings, and ensure results are communicated to primary care physicians to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Guides patients through the UofL Health system and helps patients arrive on time and prepared for scheduled appointments
Facilitates interaction and communication with UofL Health and external staff and providers
Facilitates interaction and communication with UofL Health and external staff and providers; develops relationships with personnel in departments and with other referral sources involved in the care of patients (i.e., hospital and physician office schedulers, ordering providers, technologists, specialists / surgeons, nurses, financial advisors)
Documents interventions and outcomes, maintaining extensive and detailed data needed for program tracking and growth
Ensures procedural reports (and pathology reports if available) are forwarded to PCP; contacts patients post-procedure to evaluate their experience and seek suggestions for program improvement
Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct
Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or GED/Equivalent (required)
Minimum of two (2) years' experience in scheduling and referral work in a healthcare environment (required)

Preferred

Associates degree (preferred)
