This role involves conducting complex data analysis, validation, and support functions for Medicare and Medi-Cal programs to ensure access to quality health care for Californians.

Responsibilities
Independently conduct more complex data analysis, data validation, data issue resolution and data support functions for the Medicare and Duals Analytic Unit (MDAU)
Work with programs and data systems to develop measurement specifications and reporting processes that will enable DHCS to manage the delivery of health care services that are covered and paid by Medi-Cal and/or Medicare programs
Qualification
Required

Please describe what qualities make you the best candidate and provide examples of your experience with research projects as part of a team, your work and communication styles, your tasks, challenges, and the final results
Please describe your experience with SAS or SQL coding, including, but not limited to: peer reviewing work, training others, and the courses you have taken
Preferred
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytic skills sufficient to perform the duties described in the duty statement
Practical knowledge, training, and experience with software such as SAS, Structured Query Language (SQL), Business Intelligence, Business Objects, R, and Python, etc
Experience working with Medi-Cal and Medicare eligibility, enrollment, claims, encounter, and provider data
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities; strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate and present findings clearly and efficiently; detail-oriented and meets deadlines, excellent interpersonal and decision-making skill; willingness to learn
Ability to work independently or in a team setting, take initiative, assume a high level of responsibility, and exercise good judgment
