Program Supervisor

YWCA Seattle King Snohomish is the region’s largest non-profit organization focused on the needs of women, serving 7,000 people each year. The Program Supervisor is responsible for providing operational and administrative support for the Edmonds New Start Center, ensuring high-quality service and leadership in the absence of the Program Manager.

Responsibilities

Support facility staff and operations in the absence of the Program Manager
Establish and maintain staff schedules, and serve as on-call backup to cover staff absences
Monitor and maintain inventory of office materials and supplies
Manage grocery purchasing and deliveries, including planning menus, shopping for ingredients, preparing cold-prepared meals, and coordinating daily food-related activities to ensure smooth and timely service delivery
Coordinate with the custodian team to identify, communicate, and resolve facility-related issues as they arise
Coordinate with responders and support in emergency situations and crisis management in the absence of the Program Manager
Maintain working knowledge of fire, safety and disaster plans related to emergency situations and conditions
Ability to de-escalate conflicts or crises in the facility between clients and/or other individuals, and direct them to appropriate staff who can provide next steps
Record all pertinent information in logbooks, and email Life Coaches, the Program Manager, or others as needed
Support documentation and reporting as required by funding sources
Understand and follow all policies in the EDNSC Staff Handbook as well as other YWCA policies and procedures

Required

Bachelor's degree in social services, human services, public administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 3–5 years of supervisory experience, including managing, coaching, and evaluating staff in social service or client-facing settings; experience supervising 10 or more staff preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-demand environment, including evenings and weekends
Understanding of homelessness, poverty, and trauma, and how these issues intersect with systemic oppression, race, gender, sexual orientation, and disability
Strong computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook in a networked Windows environment
Ability to work evenings and weekends
Experience responding to crises and high-stakes incidents, including conflict de-escalation, emergency management, and critical decision-making
Demonstrated experience in operational management, including workflow oversight, inventory control, scheduling, and record-keeping
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including documentation of incidents, case notes, reporting, and staff interactions
Experience working with diverse populations, including BIPOC, LGBTQ+, immigrants, refugees, and individuals experiencing homelessness
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make operational decisions in the absence of the Program Manager
Knowledge of services available in Snohomish County and greater Puget Sound for low-income or individuals experiencing homelessness desirable
