Responsibilities
Assist in defining, decomposing, and tracking technical requirements to ensure the final product meets mission objectives
Document how different electronic modules interact or exchange data (power, data, and physical mounting)
Help define verification methods and approaches for technical requirements
Help the team prepare for milestone gate reviews such as preliminary design (PDR), critical design review (CDR), test readiness review (TRR), and manufacturing readiness review (MRR)
Help execute tests such as Thermal Vacuum (TVAC) or Vibration testing; review and present engineering data and artifacts that verify requirements have been met
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited university in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering
Ability to see the big picture without losing sight of the technical details
Familiarity with systems modeling tools like Model-Based Systems Engineering / MBSE
Basic understanding of circuit design or embedded systems
Proficiency in Python, MATLAB or C++ for data analysis or simulation
Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to communicate across engineering disciplines
Ability to travel for in-person orientation and program kickoff as well as for final presentation at program completion
Preferred
Previous internship, coursework, or project experience related to systems engineering
Experience with NASA/ECSS standards and a passion for 'new space' economy and orbital mechanics
