Responsibilities
Works with a high level of confidentiality
Assist with research, coordination and administration of Finance programs and initiatives
Provide staff support related to projects within their work area including:
Expenditure audits
Financial policy management
Website/SharePoint information management
Fixed asset inventory
Business Tax and Revenue data management, data improvement and data visualization
Tax and revenue platform process documentation
Tax and revenue platform functionality issues and process improvement
Development of department training videos
Develop and maintain department forms and documents
Assist with general department administrative tasks
Support the implementation of City and Department initiatives
Assist with special projects, activities or programs
Assist department leaders with creating content for periodic internal and external communications related to department initiatives and project status reporting
Performs other duties as assigned and required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree plus one year of experience in specific department or progress toward completion of a master's degree in a related field for Intern II
High school diploma or GED plus at least one year of undergraduate studies toward completion of a bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field for Intern III
Knowledge of the policies, procedures and goals of the City of Englewood and the department
Knowledge and experience in the use of office equipment
Knowledge of the principles and practices of conducting research
Skills in the use of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel Programs
Skill in the use of standard office software
Ability to understand and interpret various forms of information
Ability to draft documents
Ability to read, interpret and clearly explain policies to a variety of constituents
Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, elected officials, boards and commissions, other jurisdictions and members of the general public
Ability to listen well and communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences
