The University of Washington is seeking an Outreach, Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator to join their Alzheimer’s Clinical Trial Consortium. This role involves coordinating outreach, education, and engagement activities for dementia clinical trials, including event planning and communication with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Create and promote events to customized distribution lists via email, mailers, WhatsApp, website, and in person. Act as liaison for event communications with event participants
Host at least 2 yearly events for community members related to dementia clinical trials
Take lead on identifying appropriate venues, coordinating dates, securing materials, ensuring accessibility, and submitting necessary paperwork
Coordinate all study meetings including scheduling meetings, creating and sending meeting agenda, setting up video conference calls, notes taking, disseminating meeting minutes, creating action items after the meeting and tracking all action items
Work with Director and Program Manager to coordinate contact and outreach to various partners, both internal and external. Assist Director and Program Manager in identifying needed speakers/panelists for events
Facilitate connections with university and local press to disseminate press releases relating to upcoming events
Create, disseminate, and summarize surveys and elicit feedback from participants and other event partners, identifying strengths and weaknesses to improve future productions. Provide a summary of relevant data from all engagements, including tracking timelines and allocations of resources
Complete other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in communications, business, marketing or related field AND 2 years of relevant outreach and engagement experience
Experience with education event coordination
Experience working with community partners and underserved communities
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to support teams to accomplish program goals and objectives
Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and other common software
Ability to perform complex scheduling and calendar management
Ability for local travel to community events
Preferred
Experience with human subjects' research protections and compliance
Demonstrate integrity, dependability, accountability, and compassion
Ability to speak, write, and read Spanish
