Responsibilities
Lead, develop, and oversee youth sports and child development programs, including leagues, camps, enrichment, and before/after school activities
Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise program staff, coaches, and volunteers
Ensure child safety, licensing compliance, and YMCA child protection standards are consistently met
Develop and manage program budgets, pricing, and participation goals
Maintain strong relationships with families, schools, and community partners
Monitor program quality, participation, and member satisfaction
Collaborate with branch leadership and support YMCA mission and values
Qualification
Required
Experience in youth sports, child development, recreation, or program management
Strong oral and written communication skills
Well developed time management skills and ability to work independently
Passion for excellent customer service
Required to work nights and weekends as programs need
Preferred
4 year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Familiar with the Madison and greater Dane County market
Have previous supervisory experience, in athletic or sports administration preferred
5+ years experience preferred
