Runs specimens to the Laboratory

Assists with lab draws (holding child or extremity)
Assists patients in/out of vehicles
Places patients on monitors
Demonstrates a positive attitude and gives positive feedback especially when coaching fellow employees on performance issues
Qualification
Required
Working under the director of the Registered Nurse, the ER Tech assists in patient care activities
Maintains department stock
Performs technical duties in accordance with policy and procedures
Should be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit
Performs other duties as assigned
Preferred
High School graduate or equivalent preferred
Emergency Department or EMT experience preferred
Current BCLS Certificate
