In this role, you will assist senior level Technicians with repairs and maintenance on Chassis products and engine repair, while also performing general shop maintenance and other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities
Under direct supervision in a service workshop, assist senior level Technicians with repairs and maintenance on Chassis products and Engine repair
Disassemble, clean and inspect chassis and /or chassis components
Provide assistance with diagnosing and troubleshooting engine failures
Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
General shop maintenance such as inspecting extension cords, replacing air lines, general maintenance, daily JSA (Job Safety Analysis) reports, welder inspections and daily time sheets
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
Ability to work in an automotive shop / manufacturing setting, mechanical knowledge preferred
Must be able to lift 35 pounds and physically lift, stand, squat, kneel frequently, wear required personal protective equipment as required and operate forklifts preferred
Basic computer software knowledge is preferred
Applies to age 16 and up
Minimum $15 per hour
Up to 19 hours per week during school year
No work hour restriction during summer months
Academic requirement to apply for the 4-year Technician Apprentice Program
Minimum 2.8 unweighted GPA or ACT score of 22 or higher
Meet college entry scores for Math, English and Reading
