Staff Scientist- Human Neuron Core Translational Center
Boston Children's Hospital is seeking an independent and self-motivated scientist to join their team in the Human Neuron Core. The position involves utilizing human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived neurons to model neurological diseases and develop tools for preclinical research.

Responsibilities
Tissue culture and quality control of human iPSCs and neuron differentiation
Presentations and communication of results to internal and external research groups
Independently leading original scientific research projects that can include:
Calcium imaging assay development
Cell painting analysis development
Development of 3D analysis pipelines
Differentiation and phenotyping of neurons, including high content imaging and multi-electrode array recordings
Assay development and screening
Keeping good records, following optimized standard operating procedures, and providing input for improvement in methods to stay up to date with the field
Staying up to date with the literature in the relevant fields
Mentoring and leading Research Assistants and junior colleagues in the Core
Preparing manuscripts for publication
Qualification
Required
A Masters Degree is required
7 years of original and relevant research experience is required
Strong experimental expertise in iPSC tissue culture and neuroscience
