Responsibilities
Assisting in the daily operation of the Pulmonary Diagnostics Laboratory under the direction of the Cardiopulmonary Coordinator
Assisting the Pulmonary Attending Physicians and Pulmonary Fellows in the performance of pulmonary diagnostic procedures
Handling each patient on an individual basis to assure their specific needs are met
Assisting in the training of both Cardiopulmonary Technology and Respiratory Therapy student interns
Responsible for the daily work assignments and the operations within the lab
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an accredited 2- or 4-year Cardiopulmonary or Respiratory Therapy program
Current BPR license in Respiratory Care (if applicable)
Current Basic Life Support
National Board for Respiratory Care - Registered Respiratory Therapist or Cardiopulmonary Technologist
National Board for Respiratory Care - Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (may obtain within first 12 months of employment)
