Start in 2026 SummerNEOGOV is seeking two Summer Interns to join the Public Works Department of the City of Coral Springs. The internship aims to provide students with real experience in municipal government and familiarize them with the functions of the Public Works department through various tasks.

Responsibilities
Interns will be trained to use software as needed and perform simple data entry operations
May help with field location/survey of water, sewer and drainage infrastructure
Will assist with permitting process and record management
Will assist with administrative duties such as research, spreadsheets, and word documents
Will assist other divisions within Public Works as needed
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing an Undergrad or Graduate degree
Majoring in Civil Engineering, Engineering, Construction, Public Administration, or a closely related field
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week and attend mandatory on-boarding program
May require attendance at after-hours business meetings or City events
Active driver's license required
All interns must pass a required background screening: Criminal background investigation
