Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of scalable, high‑performance data solutions using cloud services
Design, develop, and maintain complex database systems and data pipelines
Build and optimize ETL processes for large‑scale data ingestion and transformation
Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Python and Scala
Implement and manage Databricks environments for large‑scale data processing
Implement and support Elastic Search and Kibana for data indexing, retrieval, and analysis
Design and maintain logical and physical data models to support enterprise reporting needs
Develop database objects including stored procedures, functions, and related components
Support data warehousing, data visualization tools, and data integrity initiatives
Execute the full software development lifecycle including requirements gathering and functional/technical documentation
Develop software design documents and collaborate with stakeholders for review and approval
Apply source control best practices using tools such as Git
Support large agile development projects using test‑driven development practices
Apply CMM/CMMI Level 3 methods and practices to ensure quality and process maturity
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and architecture
Support or contribute to CI/CD pipeline creation and deployment processes using Azure DevOps when applicable
Qualification
Required
12+ years of experience developing complex database systems
8+ years of experience with Databricks
8+ years of experience using Elastic Search and Kibana
8+ years of experience programming in Python and Scala
8+ years of experience working with Oracle databases
5+ years of experience designing and developing ETL processes and data pipelines
5+ years of experience with AWS cloud services
5+ years of experience with data warehousing, data visualization tools, and data integrity practices
5+ years of experience using CMM/CMMI Level 3 methods and practices
5+ years of experience working in agile development environments, including test‑driven development
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders
Preferred
3+ years of experience or knowledge creating CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
