Pricing Analyst, Electrical Products

Responsibilities

Manage all quote requests for Unit Substations and Pad Mount Transformers from start to finish. This includes getting requests to the vendor, adding our margin, sending the revised quote/offer to Sales, and confirming comments, exceptions and schedules
Contact third party suppliers for costs and assign sell prices on buyout products such as substation transformers
Perform technical review of sales documents to make sure the technical information and customer requirements are a match
Maintain a log to track our buyout transformer volume, pricing, and types by supplier (using Excel)
As quotes become orders, work with the plant to provide the Transformer Evaluation Form and other key details needed to proceed with the order to the supplier
Coordinate with Procurement to help identify high value projects that may need special attention by the Procurement team
When needed, back-up our colleague by handling Dry Type Distribution Transformer requests
When requested by management (based on quote volume), provide support as a Quotation Analyst by evaluating and approving jobs in the queue
Maintain a high standard of accuracy and responsiveness in turning around these requests to offers and orders
Comply with and enforce Siemens’ policies and procedures

Required

BS degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineer, business administration and/or business finance
1 plus years of pricing experience in the electrical distribution industry/manufacturing
Must be eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred

Experience reading quotations and proposals
A familiarity with electrical distribution equipment, especially transformers
Strong system skills, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint and COMPAS GO. Above average math comprehension is needed due to the financial nature of the role
Customer Service' attitude with internal customers utilizing strong interpersonal communication skills
Strong negotiating and influencing skills
Excellent communication skills. Experience in a team setting with shared goals and successful results
