Responsibilities
Lead the formulation and implementation of program goals in alignment with a government client's Mission Directorate policy and vision
Oversee ingest, processing, cataloging, archiving, and distribution of large Earth System Science datasets from multiple platforms and instruments
Manage relationships between government client centers, international partners, and a distributed network of 12 discipline-based distributed archives
Lead Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes, ensuring technical objectives are met within contract requirements and cost and schedule constraints
Identify, track, and mitigate program risks through rigorous lifecycle reviews such as Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs) and Operational Readiness Reviews (ORRs)
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in one of the following: Computer Science, Earth or other Physical Science, or Mathematics
Certifications such as PMP, SAFe Agile, Six Sigma, AWS, Microsoft Azure, or HDI
Minimum of 8+ years in complex aerospace systems or large-scale data systems
Technical leadership experience with a strong background in Earth observation, satellite ground operations, or software engineering
Staff management experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams
Preferred
Ph.D. degree in one of the following: Computer Science, Earth or other Physical Science, or Mathematics
Proficiency in stakeholder communication, interdisciplinary team leadership, and conflict resolution
Prior experience supporting NASA or similar federal science missions
