Marketing Data & Analytics Program Manager

Burtch Works operates in a data-driven environment and is seeking a Marketing Data & Analytics Program Manager to own the strategy, design, and quality of marketing and growth data across the organization. This role serves as a bridge between various teams to ensure accurate reporting and insights for leadership.

Responsibilities

Define event taxonomy, naming conventions, and KPI-aligned tracking strategy across web, product, and marketing campaigns
Own Google Tag Manager architecture and governance, define GA4 events, parameters, and conversions, and regularly QA tracking in partnership with engineering teams
Design lifecycle stages, funnel logic, and attribution methodologies
Define Salesforce-to-marketing-to-analytics data models, required field mappings, and data standards, partnering with RevOps and Marketing Operations to enforce data hygiene
Translate stakeholder questions into clear data requirements and source-of-truth metric definitions
Partner with Analytics teams to ensure dashboards reflect real business behavior and identify gaps between reported metrics and operational reality
Serve as the single intake point for tracking and data requests
Prioritize work based on business impact, write clear technical specifications and documentation, manage cross-functional dependencies, and push back on low-value or vanity tracking requests

Required

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
Experience: 5–8+ years of experience in data product management, analytics, marketing operations, growth, or related roles
Tracking & Analytics: Hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager (required) and strong working knowledge of GA4 event design, implementation, and debugging
Data Modeling & Systems: Familiarity with Salesforce objects, lifecycle stages, attribution concepts, and experience specifying API integrations and data flows
Technical Skills: Comfort reading and writing SQL for data validation and analysis (hands-on pipeline development not required)
Other: Proven ability to turn ambiguous business questions into structured systems; strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred

Experience working closely with Marketing, Product, RevOps, and Analytics teams in a growth-focused environment
Demonstrated ability to establish and enforce data standards and governance practices
Track record of prioritizing high-impact data initiatives and declining low-value requests
Experience operating in environments with complex funnel, lifecycle, and revenue attribution models
