The intern will support the Nutrition, Science, and Technology team by providing nutrition support, conducting literature reviews, and participating in digital transformation projects to improve nutrition tools.

Responsibilities

Literature Review: the intern will conduct literature reviews to understand ingredients or nutritional approaches that could benefit consumers or specific patient populations requiring oral nutrition supplements or tube feeding. The intern will critique available research for level of scientific evidence and potential health benefits with their respective dosages. The intern will critically synthesize, summarize and present results to the stakeholders in concise and meaningful ways by the end of the internship
Product Conceptualization: the intern will develop a product concept, considering consumer or patient needs, scientifically validated ingredients, unique blends and formats, as well as considering preferences and needs, regulatory status and commercial feasibility for a specific benefit area
Digitize Nutrition Tools: The intern will help to improve and transform resources that the nutrition science team utilizes to create nutrition profiles and assess ingredients. Through this process the intern will be exposed to nutrition guidelines for various population groups across the world, as well as a variety of ingredients that can be considered for nutrition products

Required

Graduate student (PhD, MS), BSc or undergraduate in Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health, Biology, Biochemistry, Food Science
Self-starters who are result-oriented, analytical, innovative, intellectually curious and who take initiative and risks
Excellent communicators (both written and verbal) who encourage others and excel in a team environment
Ability to learn quickly, embrace change, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience of independently conducting literature search and critically analyzing research articles
Some scientific writing skills are required
Proficient in Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel

Preferred

Experience using AI and digital tools preferred
Experience in conducting systematic literature review is preferred, but not required
