Responsibilities

Overall responsible for the scoping, preparation, development, validation, implementation, and life cycle maintenance of CSTOM/CSID documentation for assigned efforts onboard US Navy ships
Analyze system factors and alternative methods of problem resolution on projects to determine feasibility in providing technical guidance in planning, scheduling, and executing projects
Responsible to work with supervisors in the preparation for the mission package for final publishing
Support project in identification and management of project risk to include risk handling, contingencies, and mitigation
Is the final Quality Assurance (QA) authority for assigned products
Updates shipboard packages to reflect changes resulting from feedback reports, new system installations, system modifications, ship alterations, field/engineering changes and CORE updates and additions
Initiates Internal Feedback Reports to make changes to the Developer's Guide when existing documentation is inaccurate or incomplete
Some work performed in shipyards requiring climbing, bending, and mobility required to access equipment/spaces. Remaining work performed in office setting. Up to 30 % travel

Required

Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree required
Experience within Navy shipboard environment preferred
Experience within the Combat Systems Operational Sequencing System (CSOSS) program, to include CSOOW qualification and or CSTOM/CSID experience
Familiarity with US Navy Combat Systems preferred
Familiar with systems design principles, theories, concepts, and techniques
Military training or education is preferred
Good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
Ability to follow directions is a must
Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team
Must be proficient in Windows-based Operating Systems, MS Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
Employment is contingent upon being granted Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET clearance

Preferred

Experience within Navy shipboard environment preferred
Familiarity with US Navy Combat Systems preferred
Military training or education is preferred
Knowledge of the following software applications Visio and Adobe Acrobat, helpful but not required
