Responsibilities
Receive and log new inventory using designated systems and procedures
Perform basic inventory audits and support reconciliation efforts
Assist in tagging and labeling items for tracking
Support warehouse organization, cleanliness, and item placement
Use hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklift, or similar equipment to move inventory
Deliver or retrieve inventory as directed using county vehicles
Communicate clearly with coworkers and other departments
Follow established safety procedures
Assist with surplus item preparations for transfer, redistribution, or auction
Perform basic clerical support (filing, labeling, entry)
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
No prior experience required, though some exposure to warehousing is a plus
Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record
Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics
Familiarity with standard inventory practices (can be trained)
Basic computer literacy; willingness to learn inventory software
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Dependable, punctual, and safety conscious
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
Must maintain a clean driving record and valid driver's license
Primary work is performed in a warehouse setting
Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting
Exposure to dust, noise, and fluctuating temperatures
May require driving to transport inventory or equipment
Preferred
Some exposure to warehousing is a plus
