BAE Systems, Inc. is seeking System Administrators to join their team and provide support for critical infrastructure and services. The role involves managing and maintaining systems, optimizing operations, and ensuring compliance with security controls.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the infrastructure that powers networks and operating systems such as UNIX, Linux, and Windows

Install and configure hardware and software, manage user accounts and permissions, monitor system performance, troubleshoot (Tier 1-3) issues, mobile devices, and implement and ensure compliance with applicable system security controls

Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning

Ensure IT Assets remain compliant with Identity & Access Control Management (ICAM) policy and communicate and coordinate system changes

Required

Bachelors degree with 14-17 years or more relevant work experience

Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM)

Experience with ServiceNow platform

Proficiency in developing and executing SQL queries to troubleshoot and resolve issues

Experience with SQL scripting, Java, Windows Server, Linux, Oracle, Tomcat, data backups, and load balancing

Knowledge and understanding of Trusted Thin Client and enhanced VDI (e.g., remote GPU and memory scaling)

Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
