Responsibilities
Support assigned Project Managers in coordinating commercial mechanical projects from kickoff through closeout
Assist with labor tracking, basic forecasting, and weekly schedule updates
Help coordinate material orders, deliveries, and inventory with warehouse and vendors
Maintain organized project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and job cost data
Communicate with field supervision to track progress and address day-to-day operational needs
Participate in client communications alongside senior leadership to build customer-facing experience
Support warranty tracking and closeout documentation
Attend project meetings and contribute updates related to schedule, scope, and material status
Assist with weekly project reporting and performance metrics
Learn internal purchasing, fabrication, and job costing procedures
Collaborate cross-functionally with Estimating, Finance, Asset Management, HR, and IT as needed
Develop time-management and prioritization skills to support multiple active projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field or equivalent field experience
1–3 years of experience in commercial construction, mechanical trades, or a project support role preferred
Basic understanding of HVAC or mechanical construction concepts is a plus
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
Willingness to learn project management systems, processes, and financial controls
Alignment with company values and a long-term interest in growing into a full Project Manager role
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; willingness to learn project management and accounting software
Preferred
1–3 years of experience in commercial construction, mechanical trades, or a project support role preferred
Basic understanding of HVAC or mechanical construction concepts is a plus
