Operations Manager Overheat (Onsite)

Responsibilities
You will manage projects and a team that will aid assemblers, test techs and associates that manufacture FPS parts by following engineering drawings and instructions
You independently determine work assignments, resolve complex problems, and effectively share knowledge
You will collaborate closely with cross functional leadership and IPT to drive results and achieve team objectives
You will ensure a secure work environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards
Tasks involve judgment in problem-solving and recommending new procedures
As leader, you will mentor other leaders in the department (Leads and Supervisors), and drive safety and efficiency improvements
You adapt communication to effectively achieve significant results within the IPT
You will look for systemic opportunities to improve production targets, develop a plan and drive projects to closure
You will work 75% seated and 25% standing, addressing issues as they arise
You adapt communication styles to meet diverse needs and drive closure on complex tasks
Your expertise in low volume high mix product families to mentor and drive continuous improvement
You will implement projects across the IPT to meet production goals in quality and efficiency, driving major results despite challenges
Travel Requirements will be minimal at less than twice a year for potential benchmarking opportunities at other sites
You will gain project management skills in a real time manufacturing environment & cross-functionally
You will gain experience leading a skilled team and how to manage conflict
Gain insights into continuous improvement methodologies like Kaizen and 5S, using our Core methodology fostering a culture of efficiency and innovation within the workplace
Qualification
Required
Typically requires University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
Minimum 7 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, 4 years managing people and projects
Candidates will have a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and a proven track record in optimizing production methods to enhance efficiency
Candidates will address complex problems related to personnel and equipment, seeking sustained results
High Proficiency in Microsoft Applications: Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel
Candidates must have with intermediate-level aerospace experience, understanding the criticality in adhering to industry standards such as J Standard and IPC specifications
SAP experience required
