Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable data architectures, data models, and schema designs
Optimize databases and data platforms for performance, scalability, and reliability
Work with relational and NoSQL databases and data warehousing platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Redshift
Leverage big data frameworks such as Spark for distributed data processing
Utilize cloud platforms such as Azure for large-scale data engineering solutions
Design, develop, and maintain ETL and data integration pipelines using cloud-based tools
Implement and enforce data governance best practices including data lineage and data quality management
Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards across data platforms
Define and implement data security measures including encryption and access controls
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data architecture with business requirements
Qualification
Required
12+ years of experience designing and implementing large-scale data systems
Strong expertise in data architecture, data modeling, and database design
Hands-on experience with big data frameworks such as Spark
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure
Strong knowledge of data warehousing tools including Databricks, Snowflake, or Redshift
Experience building and managing ETL pipelines and data integration workflows
Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance requirements
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred
Experience working with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
Exposure to advanced analytics, BI, or data science platforms
Experience working in large enterprise or consulting environments
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and industry compliance standards
Prior experience mentoring or guiding junior data engineers or architects
