Learning and Development Specialist

Peoples Security Bank & Trust is seeking a Learning and Development Specialist who creates and delivers a range of learning solutions to equip employees with the necessary knowledge and skills. The role involves identifying training needs, developing training content, and managing the learning and development platform to support employee growth and career advancement.

Responsibilities

Identifies skill or knowledge gaps among the organization’s employee population and develops training content or training solutions in response to identified training needs
Select training tools or training delivery mechanisms, based on the material being taught and the audience being targeted
Conducts need assessments to identify training needs
Partners with the Talent Management Partner to create development plans for various career paths throughout the organization
Creates and maintains course content, manuals, or other training materials to include virtual learning
Responsible for assigning training, track data, run reports and own the management of the learning and development platform
Responsible for managing the learning and development platform and training preparation
Partners with the organizational leadership and the Talent Management Partner to develop department specific curricula for onboarding
Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) including assigning training, tracking data, and running reports
Prepare and coordinate training logistics for all training programs
Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances and business needs

Required

Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, with strong knowledge of PowerPoint
Experience in designing, facilitating and implementing training programs, primarily pertaining to soft skills/leadership development
Proficiency conducting needs assessments to identify training opportunities
Ability to identify skill gaps within the workforce and create educational initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals
Demonstrated proficiency in maximizing the use of the organization's LMS for data collection and reporting, assigning training, etc
Learning and development platform management
Familiarity with content creation software (Canva, Adobe Captivate, etc.)

Preferred

Prior banking experience
A minimum of three years of relevant experience
