They are seeking a Flavor Creation Intern to conduct daily project work and laboratory duties, with a focus on completing a flavors project aligned with the company’s business strategy.

Responsibilities
Compound flavors on the bench
Assist with operational scale-up of flavor formulations
Contribute to weekly chemical evaluations
Assist with raw material qualifications
Assist with the organization of the lab
Conduct exploratory research as guided by the Flavorist
Clean used glassware daily
Attend supplier presentations to learn the different ingredient categories and interact with vendors
Adhere to good laboratory practices (GLP). Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) while working at the bench. Comply with occupational safety and health standards issued under OSHA and follow all rules, regulations, and procedures established by the company to ensure that their actions do not adversely affect the health and safety of themselves or others
Qualification
Required
Expected graduation of December 2026 or May 2027 from a Food Science, Chemistry, Nutrition, or related technical science degree
The candidate must not have any known food allergies or food intolerances that would put them at risk of injury or prevent them from fulfilling the requirements of the role
Experience using Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to taste and work with foods and food ingredients that may contain allergens
Self-motivated with strong organization and time management skills
Have the ability to work successfully with coworkers and independently
Be able to multitask as needed
Be an active and creative problem solver
Have the ability to adapt to a change in direction and priority in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Flavor research or laboratory experience is highly preferred
