Network Deploy Technician , Global Network Delivery

The Network Deploy Technician will work in a dynamic environment to ensure the stability and sustainability of networks while collaborating with various stakeholders to execute projects effectively.

Responsibilities

Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects
Collaboration with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles
Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and low level application interaction
Up to 20% travel within geographical work area is required. Some travel outside traditional work area may be requested, including internationally
Troubleshooting cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords
Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment
Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware

Required

High school or equivalent diploma
1+ years of Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations, or Technical Project Management experience

Preferred

Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers
Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software)
Data center experience Industry standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+)
Experience with common tools related to network troubleshooting, including VFLs, OTDR and power meters
Knowledge of major Command Line Protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common Networking Protocols (BGP, OSPF)
