Senior Information Technology Specialist
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a motivated and well-qualified Senior Information Technology Specialist to join our team of experienced professionals supporting mission-critical systems. The role involves monitoring enterprise network and system performance, resolving complex technical issues, and providing technical guidance to junior staff.

Responsibilities
Lead or support IT systems, technical programs, projects, and tasks requiring advanced technical oversight and coordination
Plan, perform, and oversee day-to-day IT operations to ensure system availability, performance, and compliance
Coordinate with multiple organizations and stakeholders to ensure system requirements and delivery milestones are met
Maintain and administer networked and standalone servers, workstations, network access, security monitoring systems, and required system documentation
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system anomalies to ensure optimal performance and reliability
Research, engineer, and provide technical recommendations to leadership on system optimization, emerging technologies, and IT products and services
Administer virtualized services and environments supporting mission operations
Provide direct client and end-user technical support, including account creation, modification, and deletion
Identify Automated Information System (AIS) vulnerabilities and implement appropriate security countermeasures
Ensure AIS and network nodes are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures
Perform Video Teleconferencing (VTC) system administration, scheduling, and configuration, as required
Qualification
Required
Active Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility
10+ years of relevant Department of Defense (DoD) experience supporting IT systems and operations
4+ years of experience in SAP/SCI environments, with work performed within the last five (5) years
Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise IT systems in secure, mission-critical environment
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to leadership and non-technical stakeholders
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and operate independently with minimal supervision
Master of Arts/Master of Science/Master of Engineering (MA/MS/ME) degree. Work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
SecurityX / CASP+, equivalent or higher to meet DoDM 8140.03 DCWF code 451 System Administrator-Advanced
