Senior Training Specialist

Next 150 Construction, a subsidiary of Gilbane Building Company, is seeking a Senior Training Specialist to design and deliver training programs for field staff in a construction environment. This role focuses on ensuring workforce readiness and safety compliance while fostering skill development aligned with operational goals.
Construction

Responsibilities

Conducts skills gap analyses and recommend targeted training interventions
Measures training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics; implements improvements as needed
Partners with project managers, superintendents, and HR teams to align training programs with operational goals
Develops and facilitates technical training programs tailored to craft labor workforce (union and non-union) and field management teams to increase workforce competency and readiness
Creates engaging curricula aligned with industry standards, company policies, and project requirements
Utilizes a variety of instructional methods, including hands-on demonstrations, simulations, and digital learning platforms
Develops and implements technical training curricula for craft labor roles
Conducts field-based training sessions and workshops on tools, equipment, and safety practices
Collaborates with field operations and HR to identify skill gaps and training needs
Evaluates training effectiveness and adjusts programs based on feedback and performance metrics
Maintains training records and ensures compliance with regulatory and internal standards
Supports onboarding of new hires with foundational technical training
Partners with safety teams to integrate safety protocols into technical instruction
Contributes to the development of career pathways and upskilling initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in Education, Construction, or related field
5+ years of experience in construction or technical training
OSHA certification or equivalent safety training credentials

Experience with LMS platforms and training documentation
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
