GULF MANAGEMENT, INC is seeking a CAD Designer who will create accurate 2D and 3D mechanical drawings, assemblies, and layouts using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. The role involves supporting engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet specifications and quality standards while managing multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

Create 2D drawings and 3D models of parts and assemblies using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Develop mechanical layouts for backplates, enclosures, and custom components
Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all assemblies and wire harnesses
Produce system interconnect and block diagrams for product documentation
Maintain and update the company drawing database and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
Inspect incoming fabricated parts for accuracy and quality
Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve mechanical or machining issues
Support multiple projects and manage priorities to meet deadlines

Qualification

AutoCADSolidWorksMechanical drafting standardsMachining processesCommunication skillsProblem-solving skillsTime management skills

Required

Certificate or degree in Drafting, Mechanical Design, or related field preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (or similar 3D modeling software)
Strong understanding of mechanical drafting standards, dimensioning, and tolerancing
Knowledge of machining processes, materials, and finishing methods
Experience designing enclosures, backplates, or cable harnesses
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills

Preferred

3+ years of CAD drafting or mechanical design experience
Previous experience working in a manufacturing, construction, or production environment
Familiarity with document control systems and engineering workflows
