Family Planning Program Manager/Title X Director (DOH/PHD #11113)

The New Mexico Department of Health is responsible for overseeing public health services in the state, including family planning. The Family Planning Program Manager will manage the statewide Family Planning Program, ensuring compliance with Title X grant requirements and providing leadership and support to staff.

Responsibilities

Manage the statewide NM Department of Health, FPP, and has oversight and responsibility for Title X services statewide, including supervision of FPP staff
Provide oversight of the statewide family planning program (including direct supervision, leadership, and support for FPP state office staff)
Oversee the entire program budget; general oversight of all family planning program staff
Ensure compliance with grant requirements, regulations and guidelines for any grant funds received by the program
Manage grant submissions/applications, working to continuously improve the program and the services offered, and assessing achievement of program goals and objectives

Required

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited college or university
Eight (8) years of professional level experience with a light strategic impact directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment
Experience with direct supervision, leadership, and support of staff, at least 5 years
Experience with federal grant-writing and management of federal grants, at least 5 years
Experience with budgeting and compliance with federal regulations, at least 5 years
Ability to work independently to guide programmatic services for FPP and provide consultation and technical assistance to internal and external customers
Possession of strong communication, interpersonal, and writing skills
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License
Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certification from the State of New Mexico, or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment

Preferred

Familiarity with NM SHARE HCM and FIN systems
