Responsibilities
Obtain authorizations from payer case managers for requested services in a timely manner
Document authorization details—including effective dates, end dates, and payer notes—using internal systems and software
Secure additional pre-certifications as needed and communicate updates to internal teams
Serve as a liaison between branch locations and payers, ensuring timely communication of changes or updates
Access and manage authorizations via email, phone, fax, and online portals
Resolve customer inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently
Independently problem-solve before escalating issues to leadership
Perform eligibility-related tasks and other comparable duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience in Medical Administration or Customer Service
High School Diploma or GED
Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
Preferred
EMR experience preferred
