Responsibilities
Assist underwriters in reviewing applications, financial documents, and risk‑related information
Conduct preliminary risk assessments and confirm submissions meet underwriting guidelines
Prepare and organize documentation, maintain accurate records, and process endorsements or policy changes
Communicate with brokers, agents, and internal teams to obtain missing or additional information
Use underwriting systems and rating tools to input data, generate quotes, and support decision‑making
Perform basic analysis and research to assist with underwriting evaluations
Track submissions, follow up on outstanding items, and help manage renewal timelines
Contribute to a positive customer experience through timely, professional communication
Qualification
Required
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risk and identify patterns
Bachelor's Degree is Required
Sound judgment when navigating unique or ambiguous underwriting scenarios
Effective interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners
Familiarity with risk evaluation across insurance products such as Workers' Compensation, Commercial Auto, and Professional Liability
Experience or aptitude for policy review, processing, and working within internal systems
High attention to detail, especially in documentation and compliance
Foundational knowledge of insurance regulations and underwriting guidelines (or willingness to learn)
Recent Graduates or 2-3 years of related experience are highly desired
