Principal Network Solutions Architect
Scale Technology Group Inc is seeking a Principal Network Solutions Architect to define, govern, and advance enterprise-class network architecture across hybrid, multi-cloud, and on-prem environments. This role is responsible for technical authority and architectural direction for network infrastructure supporting Scale’s internal platforms and client-facing solutions.
Responsibilities
Own enterprise network architecture across data centers, multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), edge/branch, and secure remote access
Define architectural principles that optimize performance, availability, scalability, security, and cost
Establish target-state architectures and lead roadmap execution from the current state to the future state
Align network strategy with business objectives in partnership with executive leadership
Architect secure, resilient connectivity across on-prem, cloud, and third-party environments
Design and govern SD-WAN, cloud routing and segmentation, traffic control, and DR/HA models
Ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS) and internal security policies
Embed zero-trust, segmentation, and defense-in-depth across all network designs
Partner with Security on threat modeling and network-layer risk mitigation
Evaluate and select network platforms, cloud services, and vendors based on fit, longevity, and cost efficiency
Define enterprise standards for routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, virtualization, and automation
Provide architectural governance and approval for major initiatives
Qualification
Required
5+ years in enterprise architecture or senior network design or 10+ years of progressive enterprise networking experience
Expertise in enterprise routing/switching, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, WAN optimization, and network security
Advanced knowledge of IPv4/IPv6, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, network virtualization, and segmentation
Proven experience in architecting hybrid and multi-cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience with SDN, cloud-native networking, zero-trust/micro-segmentation, and infrastructure automation (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
Strong communicator with experience aligning network architecture to business strategy
Preferred
Certifications (CCIE/CCNP, AWS/Azure Networking, TOGAF) are a plus
