Responsibilities

Conduct inspections in accordance with NYC DOB regulations
Types of inspections include, but are not limited to:
Masonry
Concrete Cast In Place
Structural Steel Bolting
Welding
Wall Panels and Curtain Walls
Structural Stability
Post-Installed Anchors
Rock Socket Inspection
Fire Resistance
Mechanical Systems
Heating Systems
Energy Code Compliance
Deep Foundation Elements

Qualification

New York State PE licenseACIICCAWS certifications3+ years inspection experienceBachelor’s Degree in EngineeringOSHA 30-hour CertificationMicrosoft Office proficiencyAccountabilityProfessionalismConstruction standardsWillingness for technical certificationsCommunication skills

Required

An active New York State Professional Engineer (PE) license is required
A minimum of 3+ years of experience performing inspections in NYC
ACI, ICC, or AWS certifications are required
Specific safety training requirements, including OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification
A strong commitment to quality, safety, and compliance, as well as a solid understanding of Chapter 17 of the NYC Building Code and related requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting
Proven ability to deliver accurate, detailed inspection reports in a timely manner
A strong sense of accountability and professionalism
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and safety standards

Preferred

A Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural or Construction Engineering is preferred
Willingness to pursue additional technical certifications
