Financial Analyst Intern

Pacific Seafood is seeking a motivated Financial Analyst Intern to play an integral role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the Central Support team while contributing to key project deliverables. Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models used for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis
Design, refine, and continuously improve recurring financial and operational reports and dashboards that provide accurate, timely insights to management
Analyze monthly and quarterly financial results, identify trends, and interpret variances against budget and prior year performance
Assist in the creation of executive-level financial presentations, dashboards, and summary reports
Conduct profitability and margin analysis across key product categories, customer groups, and business segments
Validate accuracy and consistency of financial data across accounting systems and planning/forecasting tools
Contribute to ongoing improvements in analytical tools, reporting processes, and standard operating procedures
Perform ad‑hoc financial and operational analyses to support strategic initiatives and leadership requests
Support broader Central Support objectives and take on additional duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, with a graduation date no later than June of 2026, in: Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Or a closely related field
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong financial statement literacy, including ability to interpret income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Ability to synthesize data and draw meaningful conclusions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
Strong organizational and time management abilities
High attention to detail, accuracy, and follow‑through
Basic PC knowledge

Preferred

High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data manipulation, and basic modeling techniques
Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to learning
Strong sense of accountability and ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
Strategic mindset with the ability to understand how day‑to‑day financial activities support broader business goals
