Responsibilities

Remove, repair and re-install any problematic avionics equipment before aircraft is cleared
Provide accurate diagnosis of avionics problem(s)
Perform and document all work per appropriate manuals and regulations
Assemble and install electrical components
Operate ground support equipment if required
Maintain detailed records of all repairs and work performed on aircraft

Qualification

Required

Minimum of 1 year of work experience or substantiated equivalent experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Excellent analytical skills and attention-to-detail
Strong working knowledge of aviation safety practices and technology
Understand various aircraft systems, such as hydraulics and flight controls
Possess (basic) set of tools
Ability to effectively communicate aircraft maintenance actions verbally and in writing
Comfortable working with technology / entering aircraft maintenance actions into a computer-based system
Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA), if applicable

Preferred

FAA-issued Airframe or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license
Corporate jet aircraft or commercial aircraft experience
Military aircraft maintenance experience (Depot/Isochronal/Phase inspections)
GROL (General Radiotelephone Operator License) or AET (Aircraft Electronics Technician) Certification
Certification from Avionics, Electric A/C Technical school or equivalent military training
