WACS Developer
DTI (Diversified Technology Inc.) is a successful IT Consulting/Staffing firm specializing in enterprise integration and implementations. They are seeking an experienced WACS Developer to design, develop, and enhance Workforce Automation & Control Systems in a utility environment, focusing on modernizing field operations and supporting mobile workforce solutions.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain WACS applications supporting field service and utility operations
Build and enhance integrations between WACS and enterprise systems (ERP, CIS, EAM, GIS, OMS, etc.)
Develop APIs, services, and batch interfaces to support work orders, asset data, customer information, and technician mobility
Configure workflows supporting dispatch, scheduling, outage response, and service restoration
Support mobile workforce solutions including technician assignments, job updates, and real-time status tracking
Participate in system architecture discussions and contribute to solution design
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT cycles
Troubleshoot production issues and provide post-go-live support
Create technical documentation, design specifications, and deployment artifacts
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into technical solutions
Support cloud-based deployments and CI/CD pipelines where applicable
Qualification
Required
5+ years of hands-on development experience supporting WACS, field service, or workforce management platforms
Strong experience with system integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, ETL, message queues)
Experience working in public utilities or similarly regulated environments strongly preferred
Solid understanding of field operations workflows (dispatching, scheduling, work orders, technician mobility)
Proficiency in one or more: Java, .NET, Python, SQL/PLSQL
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or OCI)
Strong database skills (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery models
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred
Prior experience supporting electric, gas, or water utilities
Exposure to Oracle Field Service, Maximo, SAP IS-U, or similar workforce platforms
Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of GIS or outage management systems
Understanding of security, compliance, and data governance in utility environments
